Lee Industries Inc.'s agitator process vessel has a combination of a single-sweep agitator with pitched mixing bars and a secondary mixer. The product-processing industry faces many challenges when creating formulations or recipes with unique characteristics related to a batchs viscosity, stickiness or blending sensitivity. Custom vessels with a combination of mixing designs can usually solve those challenges.
The scrapers on the sweep frame keep the inside of the vessel walls clean while pushing the batch toward the center. The bars cause turbulence or mixing in the batch itself. The bottom-entry mixer is a high-shear disperser that blends hard-to-wet powders or oil-water type mixtures that are usually difficult to marry together.
